3 Angels Nepal

WEB: http://www.3angelsnepal.com

3angelsnepalEach year, around 20,000 girls are smuggled from Nepal into India, where they are forced to work in the sex industry. 3 Angels Nepal works closely with authorities to stop human traffickers before they cross into India from where it is almost impossible to retrieve the girls.

3 Angels Nepal’s mission is to be guardian angels for vulnerable women and children everywhere; in the prisons, at the borders, in the communities, cities and villages. The organization aims to be an unstoppable force against human slavery and human trafficking in Nepal.

By focusing on the causes of problems such as child poverty and abandonment, and in providing education and rehabilitation, 3 Angels can actually turn lives around and change entire communities.

With your help, 3 Angels Nepal are saving lives – one child at a time.

The Fistula Foundation

WEB: http://www.fistulafoundation.org

fistulafoundationObstetric fistula is a serious problem in the world’s poorest countries, where too many mothers give birth without any medical help. In these cases, if a woman’s labor becomes obstructed, she will endure days of painful, prolonged labor. Her baby is unlikely to survive. If the woman survives, her body is literally broken by childbirth. Uncontrollably leaking bodily wastes, these women are too often shunned by their families and communities.

Half a million women worldwide are currently living in this way, suffering from this heartbreaking, but treatable condition.

Fistula Foundation treats obstetric fistula. Funding from their donors allows them to provide our partners in the field (Africa and Asia) with human and financial resources that enable as many women as possible to receive the treatment they need.

Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation

WEB: http://www.hbcf.org.au

hunterbreastcancerThe Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation is a Hunter based not-for-profit organisation established to provide information and support for women with breast cancer and their families.

The Foundation’s primary role is to offer women and men; newly diagnosed; during treatment and post treatment, practical day-to-day ‘grass roots’ supportive care and to bring these women together for fun and social activities.

The Foundation is about understanding the needs of women who are dealing with the effects of breast cancer and offers a hand of friendship to those women (and their families) to help them through their journey. We do this through supportive care and financial help.
